I don’t know about you, but Perimenopause kind of crept up on me and came outta nowhere guns blazing all at the same time!
There’s a lot of talk about female hormone health, particularly perimenopause and menopause at the moment. And for good reason…it’s not really been discussed, researched or respected for….well, ever!
If you’ve got ovaries, or had them at some stage, Welcome! There’s a pretty good chance you are going to want to know the ins and outs of your own body so that you can feel empowered and informed to tackle and embrace this rite of passage and anything that comes your way as you head into your fab 40’s.
Things I hear women 40+ saying all the time

Things I hear women 40+ saying all the time 〰️
“I just don’t feel like myself anymore”
“I am so overwhelmed & tired, all the damn time!”
“I’m having so much trouble focussing”.
“Oh my gawd, I’m so full of rage. I’m hating my kids and my husband, and….everything!”
“I feel depressed, and sad. I’m just not coping”
“the night sweats are insane, I have to change my clothes and sheets twice a night”
“I went on anti-depressants I was struggling so much”
Yikes this breaks my heart to hear. But, you are not alone!
I’m sure you’ve realised by now, the female body is a hard working, complex and highly organized structure of cells that is miraculous and gawd damn incredible much like the women housed IN them!!
Hate to say it, but once you head into your 40’s that state of the art body of yours is going to start changing and morphing into something a little new and different. What has worked previously for your health & wellness is probably not gonna cut it anymore. We need to adapt and reevaluate our approach to health in the years 40+ so you’ll no longer be ‘at the mercy’ of your hormones. Fingers crossed!
It’s about becoming more informed and educated about your body, and therefore more conscious, aware and connected to what is going making it all that much easier to manage and master (and cope!).
With a focus on hormones, but more importantly optimising overall wellbeing like gut health, nutrition, optimising sleep, metabolic health, skincare, joint mobility, cognitive function, prioritising self-care (yup!), mood, relationships, emotions and managing stress! Super dooper important (hello cortisol! The queen of the hormones!)
And most importantly, what this means to you on a personal level emotionally and spiritually as this experience is well beyond physical and biological.
I hope to be a facilitator of information and education, I'm still learning and figuring this all out myself, it's quite the wild ride with each week/month bringing something new into the mix. Leading to more investigating, understanding, knowledge seeking and sharing.
